Configuration [sugata]: honzukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki
Forging pattern [kitae]: dense ko-itame with jinie
Tempering pattern [hamon]: starting in Osaka yakidashi, wide o-choji of nie with sunagashi, tempering edge close to shinogi at upper part
Tip [boshi]: wide ko-maru with nie, midare return
Tang [nakago]: ubu, file marks (yasurime): o-sujikai, end (nakagojiri): haagari-kurijiri tip, holes (mekugi-ana): one
Length from tip to beginning of tang [nagasa]: 71.2cm, curvature 1.6cm, width at start of tempered edge 3.3cm, width before tip 2.3cm.
Collar [habaki]: single gilt copper
In shirasaya (plain wood scabbard)
Accompanied by a Koshu tokubetsu kicho token (Especially precious sword) certificate, no.4214, 29 June 1975 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword)
