Zwei-Dollar-Schein, 1976 von Warhol mit schwarzem Stift signiert und rückseitig gestempelt, mit aufgeklebter hellblauer Briefmarke, US-Postalservice, und Poststempel "200 Jahre Unabhängigkeit der USA, 1776-1976". Im Plexiglas Rahmen, Größe 20x15cm, mit Umkarton. Dazu ein Echtheitszertifikat der Galerie 32, Nizza, vom 13. Juni 2019. Selten. Andy Warhol (1928-1987), bedeutender Vertreter der amerikanischen Pop Art.
Im April 1976 nahm der Künstler eine echte Zwei-Dollar-Banknote mit dem Porträt des amerikanischen Präsidenten Thomas Jefferson, signierte sie mit einem schwarzen Filzstift auf der Vorderseite, collagierte sie mit einer 13-Cent-Briefmarke und ließ diese von der Post abstempeln. Zusätzlich platzierte er auf der Rückseite des Geldscheins seinen Namen mit einem Gummistempel, wie er ihn seit 1966 oftmals auch für seine bekannten Druckgrafiken verwendete.

In April of 1976 Andy Warhol took several Two-Dollar bills, showing Thomas Jefferson, signed them with a black marker, placed his name stamp on the reverse (the same one he frequently used on his prints), affixed a light blue 13-cent stamp by the US Postal Service and had it stamped "200 years of US Independence 1776-1976". A rare piece by Andy Warhol (1928-1987), American artist and leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
