Repräsentatives, höfisches Porträt Friedrich II. in seitlicher Pose mit Dreispitz, Ordensband und Stern des Schwarzen Adlerordens über dunkelblauem Samtrock, den Kopf zum Betrachter gewendet. Bei der Version handelt es sich um einen Ausschnitt aus dem bekannten, sign. Hüftbildnis Therbuschs in der Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin (Inv.-Nr. GEM 75/23), um 1764. Wie alle anderen Maler musste auch Therbusch auf einen bereits fast 25 Jahre früher entstandenen Bildtypus des Hofmalers Antoine Pesne zurückgreifen, passte das ausdrucksvolle Gesicht jedoch dem Charakter des "Alten Fritz" an. Therbusch lernte bei ihrem Vater, dem Hofmaler Georg Lisiewski (1674 - 1750). Seit 1761 erlebte sie einen grandiosen künstlerischen Durchbruch in Stuttgart und Mannheim, 1765-1767 in Paris. Als eine der ersten Malerinnen erlangte sie höchstes gesellschaftliches Ansehen sowie berufliche Anerkennung und führte Aufträge europäischer Höfe und des Adels aus. 1769 kehrte sie nach Berlin zurück, wurde wohl 1771 preußische Hofmalerin. Sie lieferte mythologische Bilder für Schloss Sanssouci und schuf 1774 erneut ein Porträt Friedrich II., das dieser spöttisch lobend kommentierte: "Um ihren Pinsel nicht zu entehren, hat sie mein verzerrtes Gesicht wieder mit der Grazie der Jugend aufgeschmückt". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
