Weißer Marmor. Sockel in marmoriert gefasstem Holz. Auf einer rechteckigen Plinthe, neben einer Stele mit Blumengirlande stehende, sich umarmende Grazien Thalia, Aglaia und Euphrosyne aus der griechischen Mythologie als verführerisch, schöne junge Aktfiguren mit langem, kunstvoll frisiertem Haar. Die geschickt auf Frontalansicht komponierte, sich dem Betrachter zuwendende Gruppe zeigt die drei nach antiken Vorbildern gestalteten Figuren mit fein und weich modellierten Körpern. Die große, bildhauerisch subtil ausgeführte Skulpturengruppe entstand nach dem berühmten, in Rom geschaffenen Werk Antonio Canovas, das sich zwei Versionen erhalten hat: die erste von 1813-1816 ursprünglich in Auftrag gegeben von Joséphine de Beauharnais (der ersten Frau von Napoleon Bonaparte), heute in der Eremitage in Sankt Petersburg; die zweite von 1814-1817 für John Russell, 6. Herzog von Bedford, heute im Victoria & Albert-Museum in London. Die Gruppe gilt als Hauptwerk Canovas, dem bedeutenden Meister des Klassizismus, der über Italien hinaus internationale Berühmtheit erlangte. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
