Maria Elisabeth Josepha, Archduchess of Austria (1743 Vienna in 1808, Linz). Three-quarter-length figure turned slightly to the left, the head to the right. In front of pillar, architecture, curtain, drapery, landscape view. In the top right of later-applied inventory number "CR. 178", Verso inscribed, signed and 1763 dated. Oil on canvas 171,5 x 125 cm. Restoration. Min. under min damage. damaged Archduchess Maria Elisabeth of Austria was born as the sixth child and fifth daughter of Maria Theresa and her husband Emperor Franz Stephan to the world. In her youth for her beauty praised, was planning a marriage of the Archduchess to the king of Poland, the implementation of which was vetoed by the Russian tsarina.
