Kräftige, zur Spitze hin leicht verbreiterte Klinge mit feiner Flammung. Auf der Klinge einseitig in Messing eingelegte Reichsapfelmarke. Lange Fehlschärfe mit leicht zur Klinge geneigten Parierhaken. Aufwendig geschmiedete, flache Parierstange, die beidseitigen großen Parierringe mit eingesteckten Lilienmotiven gefüllt. Fein durchbrochen gearbeiteter Dekor mit Maßwerk-Zierrosetten. Die beiden Fingerbügel in große Spiralen auslaufend. Originale Hilze mit Lederbezug über Schnurwicklung. Flacher, durchbrochen gearbeiteter Knauf mit beidseitig aufgesetzten Ziervoluten. Länge 180 cm.

An exceptional northern Italian or Swiss two-handed flamberge, circa 1590
The sturdy blade with fine waved edges, widening slightly towards the point. A brass-inlaid imperial orb mark stamped on one side of the blade. Long ricasso, the two guards angled slightly towards the blade. Elaborately forged, flat quillons, the large ring guards curling around fleur-de-lys motifs on both sides. Fine openwork embellishment with tracery rosette ornaments. The two finger rests extending out into large spirals. Original grip with cord winding covered in leather. Flat, openwork pommel with appliquéd volute decoration on both sides. Length 180 cm.
Provenance: South German private collection, previously in the collection of Ludwig Roselius in Bremen (who died in 1943), inv. nos. 63 and 33.

Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
