Äußerst feines Porträt der jungen Prinzessin Viktoria Luise von Preußen (1892-1980) aus dem persönlichen Besitz ihrer Mutter Kaiserin Auguste Viktoria von Preußen (1858-1921)
Zarte, feinmalerische Darstellung der jungen Prinzessin in lachsfarbenem, hochtailliertem Biedermeier-Kleid mit Puffärmeln und hutähnlicher Haube - sog. Schute - mit großer Schleife über blondem Haar. Filigrane, rahmende Zierlinien, akzentuiert durch goldgehöhte Rosetten, Bänder und zentral dargestellte, preußische Königskrone. Aquarell und Gouache mit Weißhöhungen über Bleistift/Papier. R. u. Sign. von Otto von Krumhaar (1859 Wien - 1915 Malente). Schmaler, vergoldeter Rahmen, auf dem Rückenkarton handschriftlich bez. "Aus dem Schlafzimmer der Kaiserin 446" sowie mit Inventaretikett und Fragment eines weiteren Etiketts; außerdem Etikett von H. W. Röhlich (Kgl. Hoflieferant) in Berlin. 21,5 cm x 16,5 cm.
Viktoria Luise von Preußen war nach sechs Söhnen die einzige Tochter von Kaiserin Auguste Viktoria geb. Prinzessin von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg (1858-1921), der letzten deutschen Kaiserin und Gemahlin Kaiser Wilhelm II. (1859-1941). Mutter und Tochter verband eine innige Beziehung. Viktoria Luise heiratete 1913 Ernst August, Prinz von Hannover, Herzog von Braunschweig und Lüneburg (1887-1953).
Der Porträtmaler Otto von Krumhaar studierte bei Carl von Marr in München und ließ sich in Berlin nieder, 1902-1905 war er in New York tätig; in Berlin und in den USA schuf er Bildnisse des Adels sowie von Persönlichkeiten aus Politik und Gesellschaft (Vgl. Thieme-Becker, Bd. XXII, S. 9).

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
