Äußerst seltene Figur eines orientalischen Banjospielers
Auf unregelmäßigem Sockel stehender, singender, orientalisch gekleideter Musikant in langem, teils gemustertem Gewand mit farbenprächtiger Kopfbedeckung mit beiden Händen das Banjo spielend. Polychrome Malerei mit etwas Gold. Entw. Erich Hösel, um 1904 - 1917. Entw.-Bez.; Modell-Nr. V 129. Schwertermarke. H. 20,5 cm.
Erich Hösel (1869 - 1951) studierte seit 1886 an der Dresdener Kunstakademie, danach unter Johannes Schilling und Robert Diez. 1903 wurde er zum Leiter der Gestaltungsabteilung der Meissener Manufaktur berufen sowie 1904 zum Professor ernannt. Charakteristisch sind vor allem seine lebendig-bewegten Tiermodelle sowie ausdrucksstarken Figuren fremder Völker. Dazu inspirierten ihn nicht zuletzt seine Reisen durch Europa, den Orient und Nordamerika.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
