Mit dem Namen Burger sind in der Matrikel zwei Träger mit diesem Namen verzeichnet - die jedoch am gleichen Tage - dem 24. September 1917 mit der Medaille bedacht wurden.
So der Vizefeldwebel d.R. Wilhelm Burger der 3. Komp., 4. Badischen Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 112 dessen Verleihungsbegründung sich wie folgt liest: "Burger legte während der Angriffstage vom 17.7. bis 5.8.1917 wiederum Zeugnis seiner schon oft bewiesenen Unerschrockenheit und Tapferkeit ab. Beim Sturm am 1.8.1917 gelang es ihm, ein für uns sehr gefährliches MG durch Handgranaten zu zerstören und die Besatzung des Grabenstückes gefangen zu nehmen. Auch während der darauf folgenden Tage, als die Stellung unter schwerstem feindlichem Feuer lag, bewährte sich Vizefeldwebel Burger als Zugführer. Seinen gewandten Anordnungen ist es zu verdanken, daß die Verluste in seinem Abschnitt sehr gering waren.",
die Verleihungsbegründung des Unteroffizier d.R. Karl Burger des 7. Badischen Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 142 liest sich indes wie folgt: "Burger hat sich beim Angriff am 1.9.1917 bei Malancourt ganz hervorragend tapfer gezeigt. Seine Gruppe mit sich reißend stürmte er vorwärts und fügte durch Handgranatenwerfen dem Gegner blutige Verluste bei. Bei einem Grabenstück, das er mit seinen Leuten aufrollte, gelang es ihm, mehrere Gefangene zu machen. Bei einem Gegenstoß der Franzosen bediente er einen Minenwerfer und trug wesentlich dazu bei, daß der Angriff abgeschlagenen wurde. In der Champagne-Schlacht hat er ebenfalls schon hervorragende Tapferkeit bewiesen." Ursprünglich war er "nur" zur kleinen goldenen Verdienstmedaille eingegeben.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
