Rectangular box made from walnut wood on a remote, ebonisiertem Socket. The lid having a rectangular top with sliding lid. On all sides cartridges with flammleisten framing, inlaid decoration of engraved Pewter and leg. Front-side lock with engraved, iron key plate. The original hollow mandrel key with double-bit. The Interior is original with jewelry lined paper. Lateral internal load, including a secret compartment with four small drawers. Dimensions 26.5 x 35 x 22.5 cm. Provenance: From the possession of the princes of Thurn & Taxis, Schloss Emmeram, originally in the Archduke Joseph's Apartment. Auction at Sotheby's, October 1993, Los 78. Condition: II +
