A strong double-edged blade with lenticular cross-section and a blunt tip. On both sides, rich etched decoration. A page with a representation of an executioner with a sword and Delinquentin on the wheel and the gallows. On the opposite side of a Holy figure. Including sense contradictions between flowers, vines, "O Lord, accept this poor sinner in thy Kingdom, that he shall be saved before a happy prank" and "here I stand, with hope in addition to God to judge right, Jesus Christ, You are the judge, I the servant are". At the base of the Blade on both sides of the manufacturer signature "John Sorg, Maister bey Scheer, Anno 1746". Faceted brass crossguard with strong Endknäufen. Original Hilze with small remnants of the textile cover, two handle, ferrule made of brass. Slightly oval octagonal brass knob. Original scabbard with remnants of leather over textile. Place and the mouth plate is made of brass. Length 113,5 cm. Rarely on the market-seen, original executioner's sword with an exceptionally beautiful sound decor. Provenance: From an old Swabian aristocratic houses. Condition: II -
