Superbe reliure de Paul Bonet. Paul Bonet, Carnets, n°885 : « la liberté (très ordonnée) des formes, compensée par l’austérité de la couleur, conviennent, je crois, à ce livre) » ; Carteret, IV, p. 66 : « belle publication très rare et très cotée. Par suite de la guerre, la plus grande partie de l’édition aurait été détruite ».

In-4 (285 x 230 mm). 35 pointes sèches originales de Boussingault (légers reports des gravures). Un des 45 exemplaires sur Hollande van Gelder, celui-ci le n°36. Reliure signée de Paul Bonet, datée 1949 : maroquin ébène, riche décor sur les plats avec formes ondoyantes de box violet, bordeaux, rouge et orange desquelles se déploient de riches jeux de filets à froid courbes, se prolongeant sur le dos lisse, lettre dorée, doublure et gardes de daim rouge, tranches dorées sur témoins. Chemise, étui. Provenance : l’exemplaire comprend une quittance de Paul Bonet concernant la reliure, datée de janvier 1950 et adressée au comte de Montesquiou Fezensac. Le relieur y indique, en outre, que "cette reliure est une pièce unique".
