Rechteckiges Kästchen aus schweren, geschnitzten Elfenbeinpanelen mit Montierung aus emailliertem und vergoldetem Kupfer. Vergoldetes Schloss mit Fallriegel in Form eines Drachen, Schlüssel fehlt. Auf dem Deckel Darstellung zweier Reiter vor einer Burg, vorderseitig zwei berittene Krieger im Kampf mit einem Löwen. An den Seiten Vögel zwischen Rankendekor, auf der Rückseite Jäger mit drei Hunden im Kampf mit einem Eber. Glatte Bodenplatte aus Elfenbein. Montierung mit Einlagen aus blauem, rotem und weißem Emaille, aufgenietete vergoldete Zierrosetten (unvollständig) und Eckverstärkungen. Das Innere mit vergoldetem und graviertem Kupferblech verkleidet. Maße 15 x 28 x 14,5 cm.

A distinguished ivory casket in Romanesque style, Paris, mid-19th century
The rectangular casket made of heavy, carved, ivory panels with enamelled, gilt copper mounts. The gilt lock with a hasp in the shape of a dragon, no key. The lid with a depiction of two horsemen in front of a castle, the front with two mounted warriors fighting a lion. The sides embellished with birds amidst decorative tendrils, the back with hunters and three hounds tussling with a wild boar. Smooth ivory base plate. The mounts with inlays of blue, red and white enamel, riveted, decorative gilt rosettes (incomplete) and corner reinforcements. The interior lined in gilt, engraved copper foil. Dimensions 15 x 28 x 14.5 cm.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
