Lot 737 | Bedeutende großformatige Ikone mit Darstellung des 148. Psalms "Lobet den Herrn vom Himmel her" (Lobpreis des Weltalls), Russland, 19. Jhdt.
Holztafel mit zwei Rückseiten-Sponki. Tempera auf Kreidegrund. Im Zentrum Darstellung der himmlischen Sphäre mit dem thronenden Christus umgeben von den vier Evangelisten, Cherubim und Engelswesen. Links und rechts am Bildrand reihen sich über fünf Register Heilige, Könige und Propheten. Die obere Reihe wird von der Gottesmutter und Johannes angeführt. Im unteren Bildfeld erscheint der Paradiesgarten. Sehr detaillierte Darstellung der Berge und der Tiere, wie sie im Psalm erwähnt werden ("lobet die wilden Tiere und alles Vieh, / Kriechtiere und gefiederte Vögel"). Sehr aufwendig gemalte Darstellung des Psalms 148. Restauriert. Maße 50 x 41,5 cm.

The wooden panel with two sponki on the back. Tempera on gesso. At the centre, a representation of the heavenly sphere with Christ in Majesty surrounded by the four evangelists, cherubim and angels. Five registers of saints, kings and prophets on the left and right edges of the scene. The Mother of God and St. John the Baptist at the front of the top row. The lower scene shows the Garden of Eden. Highly detailed representation of the mountains and animals as they are cited in the Psalm ("Praise him, all wild animals and all cattle, crawling creatures and flying birds"). Exceptionally opulent, painted rendering of Psalm 148. Restored. Dimensions 50 x 41.5 cm.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
