Achtkantiger, in rund übergehender Lauf aus fein gemasertem Damast mit glatter Seele im Kaliber 15 mm. Auf der Laufoberseite fein geschnittene Mittelrippe mit Gabelblattdekor, über der Kammer goldgefütterte Marke zwischen kräftig in Gold tauschiertem Rankendekor. Schloss mit ganzflächig in Gold tauschierten Blattranken, auf dem Hahn die seltene figürliche Darstellung eines Drachen. Auf der Unterseite der Hahnfeder bezeichnet und datiert "Besitzer Akhmad, Meister Umar 1299". Goldeingelegter Knopfabzug. Vollschäftung aus fein gemasertem Riegelahorn (kleiner Riss hinter der Schlossplatte) mit fein niellierter, teilvergoldeter Garnitur. Die beiden niellierten Griffbänder in zwei Kartuschen bezeichnet "Ali-Kahn" (Besitzer) und "1299". Die niellierte silberne Knaufkappe ist wohl eine spätere Zutat, die originale Rosette des ursprünglichen Holzknaufes ist erhalten. Länge 46 cm.
Hochwertig gearbeitete Pistole mit extrem seltener figürlicher Darstellung eines Drachen. Sie steht in einem engen Bezug zu einem 1863 datierten Kinzal, der das gleiche Drachensymbol auf der Scheide aufweist (abgebildet bei Askhabor, Searching for Lost Relics, S. 366/67). Eine ähnliche Waffe mit einem Löwensymbol ist ebendort auf S. 77 abgebildet. Möglicherweise wurden diese Waffen damals für hochgestellte Auftraggeber gefertigt.

A fine silver-mounted Dagestan miquelet pistol, dated 1861/62
Octagonal to round barrel of finely grained Damascus steel with smooth bore in 15 mm calibre. The top of the barrel featuring a finely chiselled midrib with fork leaf décor, over the breech a gold-lined mark between distinctively gold-damascened foliage. Lock decorated all-over with gold damascened foliage, the hammer decorated with a rare dragon motif. On the underside of the hammer spring the inscription and date "Owner Akhmad, Master Umar 1299".
Gold-inlaid button trigger. Full stock of finely grained flame maple (small crack behind the lock plate) with finely nielloed part-gilt furniture. The two nielloed grip straps with cartouches inscribed "Ali-Kahn" (owner) and "1299". The nielloed silver pommel cap probably a later addition, the original rosette of the original wood pommel existent. Length 46 cm. High-quality pistol with extremely rare portrayal of a dragon. It is closely related to a khanjali from 1863 which has the same dragon symbol on the scabbard (depicted in Askhabor, Searching for Lost Relics, p. 366/67). A similar weapon with a lion symbol is depicted there on page 77. These weapons were probably made for high-ranking customers.
