Achtkantiger, in 16-fach facettiert übergehender Lauf mit glatter Seele im Kaliber 17,5 mm. Reicher Dekor mit feiner Goldtauschierung auf gebläutem und fein ziseliertem Grund. Darstellung von Jäger und Hunden zwischen feinem Rankendekor. Auf der Laufoberseite in Gold eingelegte Bezeichnung "De Callos de Herraduras" (aus Hufeisen geschmiedet). Über der Kammer vier goldtauschierte Marken, davon eine bezeichnet "YRUSTA" unter Krone, wohl Gaspar Rusta, tätig in Eibar um 1790 - 1810. Perkussionsschloss mit außenliegender Hauptfeder, die Schlossplatte mit goldtauschiertem Rankendekor auf fein ziseliertem Grund. Der Hahn vollplastisch in Form von Herkules mit dem Löwen geschnitten. Halbschäftung aus schön gemasertem Nussbaumholz mit reich geschnittener und goldtauschierter Garnitur. Unter dem Abzugsbügel bezeichnet "Ortega", auf dem Abzugsbügel gravierter Turm von Kastilien. Im Kolben ein Fach für die Riemenöse. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Ladestockröhrchen, schwarz gefärbter, hölzerner Ladestock mit eisernem Dopper. Länge 126 cm.
Bedeutende Luxus-Präsentationswaffe. Möglicherweise für ein Mitglied des Spanischen Königshauses oder für die Londoner Weltausstellung von 1851 gefertigt.

A superb Spanish percussion shotgun, circa 1840/50
Octagonal to sixteen-sided barrel with smooth bore in 17.5 mm calibre. Richly decorated with fine gold damascening on blued and finely repousséd ground. Depicting hunter and hounds between fine scrolling foliage. Gold inlaid inscription "De Callos de Herraduras" (forged from a horse shoe) on top of the barrel. Four gold-damascened marks at the breech, one reading "YRUSTA" surmounted by a crown, probably representing Gaspar Rusta, active in Eibar around 1790-1810. Percussion lock with external central spring, the lock plate with gold damascened scrolling foliage on finely respousséd ground. Cock chiselled in the form of Hercules with the lion. Finely grained walnut half stock with richly chiselled and gold-damascened furniture. Inscribed "Ortega" under the trigger guard, tower of Castille engraved on the trigger guard. Compartment for the strap lug in the buttstock. Pierced ramrod ferrules, blackened wooded ramrod with iron tip. Length 126 cm.
A fine, significant presentation weapon. Probably made for a member of the Spanish royal family or for the London World Fair of 1851.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
