Runde, original gebläute Läufe mit gekehlter, vergoldeter Mittelschiene. Glatte Seelen im Kaliber 15 mm. Goldene Kimme mit in Gold eingelegtem Lorbeerkranz. Über den Kammern in Gold eingelegte Signatur "Le Page Arqer. du Roi et de Mgr. de Duc de Orleans". Am Laufansatz fein gravierter, goldeingelegter Dekor mit zwei goldgefütterten Lilienmarken. Fein graviertes, goldeingelegtes Schwanzschraubenblatt. Gravierte und goldeingelegte, original gebläute Schlösser mit rollengelagerten Batterien und regendichten, goldgefütterten Pfannen, signiert "Le Page à Paris". Verschnittener Halbschaft aus schön gemasertem Nussbaumholz, der Griffbereich mit feinem Fischhautverschnitt, an der Unterseite ein plastischer Hirschkopf. Reiche Silberdrahteinlagen. Garnitur aus graviertem und goldeingelegtem Stahl mit floralem Dekor und Tierdarstellungen. Ladestock mit Horndopper. Vakante goldene Daumenplatte. Länge 122,5 cm.
Jean Lépage (1746 - 1834) betrieb seine Werkstatt ab 1779 in Paris und gilt als einer der bedeutendsten französischen Büchsenmacher seiner Generation. Er war Hofbüchsenmacher des französischen Königs Ludwig XVI., später der Büchsenmacher Napoleons und der darauf folgenden französischen Könige. Sein Sohn Henry LePage übernahm 1822 die Leitung der Werkstatt.

Round barrels with original bluing and fullered, gilt midrib. Smooth bores in 15 mm calibre. Gold rear sight with laurel wreath inlaid in gold. At the breeches gold-inlaid signature "Le Page Arqer. du Roi et de Mgr. de Duc de Orleans". The barrel root decorated with finely engraved ornaments inlaid in gold with two gold-lined fleur-de-lys marks. Finely engraved, gold-inlaid tang. Engraved and gold-inlaid locks with original bluing, frizzens on rollers and rain-proof, gold-lined pans, signed "Le Page à Paris". Carved half stock of beautifully grained walnut wood with finely chequered grip, a three-dimensional deer head at the bottom. Rich silver wire inlays. Furniture of engraved and gold-inlaid steel decorated with flowers and animals. Horn ramrod with Horn tip. Vacant gold thumb plate. Length 122.5 cm.
Jean Lépage (1746 - 1834) maintained his workshop in Paris from 1779 and is considered one of the most significant French gunsmiths of his generation. He was gunsmith to the court of King Louis XVI , later gunsmith of Napoleon and the succeeding French kings. His son Henry LePage took over the management of the workshop in 1822.
