Achtkantiger, in rund übergehender Lauf mit glatter Seele im Kaliber 18 mm. Links neben der Kammer zwei undeutlich geschlagene Marken. Rechteckige Pfanne mit schwenkbarem Deckel und Feuerschirm. Rechteckiges Schloss, der Hahn in stilisierter Drachenform gearbeitet. Vollschäftung aus Nussbaumholz mit reich eingelegtem Dekor aus graviertem geschwärzten Bein und Perlmutt, dazwischen feiner silberner Spandekor mit Stern- und Punkteinlagen. Eiserne Kolbenkappe und Abzugsbügel. Eingeschobener hölzerner Ladestock mit Beindopper. Länge 139,5 cm. Musketen mit ähnlichem Dekor befinden sich auch heute noch in der Sammlung der Dresdner Rüstkammer. Weitere Exemplare befinden sich in zahlreichen internationalen Museen, so dem Metropolitan Museum in New York (Inv. 28.100.06) und dem Saint Louis Art Museum (Inv. 302:1951). Es wird heute davon ausgegangen, dass diese Gruppe von Musketen von Dresdner Büchsenmachern für den sächsischen Hof gefertigt wurde. Zustand: II
