Lindenholz, polychrom gefasst und vergoldet. Von geflammten Sockeln emporstrebende gedrehte Säulen, die einen prächtigen Baldachin tragen. Ihm entspringt zwischen vier geschweiften Stützen ein mehrfach abgesetzt gearbeiteter Kerzenhalter. Eiserne Tropfschale mit kurzem Dorn. Die Konstruktion birgt eine fein geschnitzte Figur des Hl. Nikolaus mit Bischofshut, Buch und drei Kugeln. Die untere Zone von vier Cherubim geschmückt, auf originaler gedrehter Tragestange. Stellenweise restauriert. Gesamthöhe ca. 2,7 m.
A South German notable processional pole with Saint Nicholas, circa 1680
Lime wood, painted in colour and gilt. The turned columns rising up from undulating pedestals, holding up a magnificent baldachin. On top of the baldachin, four curved supports hold a multi-stepped candle holder. Iron drip pan with a short pricket. The construction contains a finely carved figure of St. Nicholas with a bishop's mitre, a book and three balls. The lower section adorned with four cherubs, on the original, turned carrying pole. Restored in places. Overall height approx. 2.7 m.
