Achtkantiger, in rund übergehender Lauf aus schönem gemaserten Damast mit glatter Seele im Kaliber 11,5 mm. Laufansatz mit goldeingelegtem Floral- und Blütendekor (kleine Fehlstellen). Auf der Laufoberseite goldeingelegte, kyrillische Signatur (einige Fehlstellen) "I. Permjak. S.P. Burg." Goldgefüttertes Zündloch. Steinschloss mit fein geschnittenem und graviertem Blüten- und Rocaillendekor auf goldunterlegtem Grund und ebenfalls goldeingelegter, kyrillischer Signatur "Ivan Permiak". En suite gefertigter Hahn. Elegante, leicht verschnittene Vollschäftung aus Nussbaumholz (kleine, unbedeutende Risse und Fehlstellen) mit Hornnase, silberne Auflage mit eingraviertem Monogramm "AK". Aufwändig gearbeitete, teils vergoldete und ziselierte Silbergarnitur mit fein graviertem Blüten- und Trophäendekor. Mglw. originaler Ladestock mit ergänztem Messingdopper. Länge 122 cm. Ivan Permiak ist einer der bekanntesten und begabtesten russischen Meister, ab 1740 in St. Petersburg nachweisbar. Er fertigte für den russischen Hof u.a. zahlreiche Luxuswaffen für die Zarin Katharina die Große.

The octagonal, smooth-bore barrel turning to round in beautifully figured Damascus steel, in 11.5 mm calibre. Gold-inlaid floral and foliage decoration at the root of the barrel (minor imperfections). The top of the barrel with a gold-inlaid, Cyrillic signature (several defects) "I. Permjak. S.P. Burg." Gold-inlaid vent hole. The flintlock finely chiselled and engraved with floral and rocaille ornaments on a gold-inlaid background, along with the gold-inlaid, Cyrillic signature "Ivan Permiak". En suite cock. Elegant, slightly carved full stock in walnut (small, insignificant cracks and defects) with horn nose, silver appliqué engraved with the monogram "AK". The partially gilt and chased silver furniture embellished with delicately engraved floral and trophy decoration. The ramrod possibly original with replaced brass tip. Length 122 cm. Ivan Permiak is one of the most famous and most skilled Russian masters, documented in St. Petersburg from 1740. As purveyor to the Russian court, he produced a great many deluxe weapons for Tsarina Catherine the Great among others.

Rodionov, senior research officer and curator of the armoury department, Gatchina Palace and Estate Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia).
