IMPORTANT AND Large BRONZE of A grandfather WITH GRANDSON.

Place Of Origin: Japan.
Dynasty: Meiji Period (1868-1912).
Technique: Bronze with a glossy dark-brown Patina.
Description: The magnificently crafted figure shows an elderly grandfather between his legs
little Grandson playing. The Lord is in a narrow pants and a long vest
the Kimono, the boy dressed in a Kimono. The faces are of a great presence,
the hair and hands very lively played.
Dimensions: height 54cm.
Signature: On the circular plinth, to the rear signed: Kaniya Kuniharu.
Condition A/B.

Kaniya Kuniharu (1852-1934) is considered to be one of the most important artists for the bronze figures of the Meiji period. He was in 1907, one of the founding members of the Tokyo metal casters Association. His Work has been represented at the world exhibition in Paris in 1900.
