Lot 2010A major plate with the theater scene from the novel of the Three Kingdoms
China. Qing Dynasty. Kangxi Period (1661-1722). Porcelain, famille verte with iron red and Gold. The edge of the plate flower petal shaped, the ring moved a little.In the mirror scene is the "battle of Jiameng Pass is placed" in a landscape with great pine. The young Ma Chao on the right galloping yellow horse succeeds in using a meteor hammer (liuxingchui) to break the shield with a drawn sword riding to Zhang Fei. He is assisted by a warrior with a Calabash on his back, entering with two lobes on the Zhang Fei, in addition to the another young man holding a large banner.On the Flag are eight crane medallions, eight half clouds - and eight half-ruyi medallions on a bed of dense flowers. On the back is engraved with flowers, leaves and three flowering branches in iron red and green enamel. Height 4.5 cm, Ø 37cm. In the bottom in underglaze blue leaf mark within a double ring.
