Der fein geformte Torso des Buddha Shakyamuni steht in Samabhanga mit leicht zurückgelehntem Körper, der rechte Unterarm war ursprünglich in das jetzige Loch des Oberarms gesteckt und zeigte wahrscheinlich das Abhaya-Mudra, der linke Arm ist nach unten gestreckt, die Hand hält den Saum seines Mönchsgewandes, das sich eng an seinen Körper schmiegt und den Körper darunter freilegt und aus einem Unterrock besteht, der entlang der Unterschenkel herabreicht, und einem weitärmeligen Mantel, der den Körper bis zum Hals bedeckt. Er ist über beide Schultern drapiert, bevor er in rhythmischen Linien großer ovaler und paralleler Kurven elegant nach unten fällt und sich bis zum Saum fortsetzt, der eine Rautenform bildet. Ein Teil des Mantels ist nach hinten über die linke Schulter gezogen, die Rückseite hat ein rechteckiges Loch zur Befestigung an der Tempelwand.
