Lot 2000 Impressive figure of a female Bodhisattva
China. Ming dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier.

wood with remnants of paint and the mesh. Lady standing in a slightly twisted posture with the front of the chest with superimposed hands, in which they thought was probably a gift. The clothing shows the elegant style of the Chinese Tang dynasty, with a wide skirt, high on the waist with a long drooping belt is tied, in combination with a jacket with wide Sleeves, which are pushed back in folds on the arms. The taste of the time accordingly, plump lady with oval face and restrained facial features has attached to the hair in a complicated knot.

Obviously the figure was once part of a larger group, because their attitude seems to refer to something. Due to the missing attributes, an exact attribution is not possible. Height 94cm, width 31.5 cm, depth of 24cm. Condition B Is Restored.
