China, or Japan. Ming dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier.

Wood with remnants of paint and the mesh. Lady standing in facing position with front of the chest with superimposed hands, in which they thought was probably a gift. The clothing shows the elegant style of the Chinese Tang dynasty, with a wide skirt, high on the waist with a long drooping belt is tied, in combination with a jacket with wide Sleeves, which are pushed back in folds on the arms. The taste of the time accordingly, plump lady with oval face and restrained facial features put the hair in an elaborate bun.

Obviously, the figure was once part of a larger group, because their attitude seems to refer to something. Although the features of the figure in Chinese, however, suggests that the stylistic execution that they could have originated in Japan. Height 94cm, width 31.5 cm, depth of 24cm. Condition B. professionally conserved and restored.
