Bestehend aus Brosche und Paar Ohrgehängen. Brosche 750/000 Gelbgold (getestet), mit feiner Granulation und Draharbeit, zentral großer ovaler - ausgehöhlten Malachit, Gewicht 44,3g. Die passende Ohrhänger in 750/000 Gelbgold getestet mit Malachit Steinen gefasst sowie Granulation und feiner Drahtarbeit (Fassungen wohl in Silber vergoldet), Gewicht 19,3g
Rheinische Sammlung
Das Farbspektrum von Malachit reicht von leuchtend hellgrün bis zu schwarzgrün. Die farbgebende Substanz dieses Edelsteins ist Kupfer. Seit der Antike ist dieser Stein auf Grund seiner intensiven Farbe äußerst beliebt und oftmals werden dem sagenumwobenen Stein magische und heilende Kräfte nachgesagt. Eines der wichtigsten Fördergebiete war der Ural. Insbesondere im Russland des 18. und 19. Jahrhunderts erfreute sich der grüne Stein größter Beliebtheit und wurde nicht nur zu Schmuck verarbeitet, sondern, wie sonst kein anderer Edelstein, dazu verwendet Möbel und Kunstobjekte zu verzieren. Eine Vielzahl solcher, teils spektakulären Arbeiten findet man noch heute in den Sammlungen der russischen Paläste. Das schwedische Königshaus besitzt mit der Queen Desideria Malachit Parure die wohl berühmteste Schmuckgarnitur mit den leuchten grünen Steinen.
