Four volumes of Isaiah Berlin’s historical and philosophical writings, together with four of his translations of works by Ivan Turgenev, all with presentation inscriptions from Berlin to The Countess of Avon.



The above titles sold with: TURGENEV, Ivan (1818-1883). First Love. London: 1956. [With:] – A Month in the Country. London: 1981. (Two copies.) [And:] – First Love & A Fire at Sea. London: 1982. Together 8 volumes, octavo. All first editions thus (endpapers to First Love lightly spotted, otherwise all in very good condition). Publisher’s cloth, all except First Love and one copy of A Month in the Country with dustjackets (extremities faintly rubbed, some short splits and small tears to dustjacket of Vico and Herder, otherwise in very good condition).
