Four volumes of Isaiah Berlin’s historical and philosophical writings, together with four of his translations of works by Ivan Turgenev, all with presentation inscriptions from Berlin to The Countess of Avon.



The above titles sold with: TURGENEV, Ivan (1818-1883). First Love. London: 1956. [With:] – A Month in the Country. London: 1981. (Two copies.) [And:] – First Love & A Fire at Sea. London: 1982. Together 8 volumes, octavo. All first editions thus (endpapers to First Love lightly spotted, otherwise all in very good condition). Publisher’s cloth, all except First Love and one copy of A Month in the Country with dustjackets (extremities faintly rubbed, some short splits and small tears to dustjacket of Vico and Herder, otherwise in very good condition). After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
