Fischerfamilien beim Entladen des Fangs am Strand von Scheveningen
Impressionistisch aufgefasstes, mit weichem, pastosem Duktus gemaltes Werk Blommers' aus der Zeit um 1880-90, das in Motiv und Stil charakteristisch für dessen Oeuvre ist. Blommers gehörte zu den jüngeren niederländischen Malern aus der ersten Generation der Haager Schule. Er studierte bis 1868 an der Haager Akademie bei Jacob Maris und Jozef Israëls, der ihn nachhaltig prägte. Blommers malte meist in der Umgebung von Scheveningen, Katwijk, Zandvoort und in Nord-Brabant. Haupmotive waren Strandszenen, Fischer und ihre Frauen bzw. Fischerfamilien und -kinder. In Abkehr von der romantischen Richtung der holländischen Malerei schilderte Blommers in einfühlsamer, unverstellter und direkter Weise deren einfaches, gemeinschaftliches, mit der Familie und dem Meer verbundenes Leben dar. Blommers stellte bereits 1865 in Amsterdam aus, zeitlebens überdies in Den Haag, Rotterdam und Antwerpen. In der Generation nach Israëls war Blommers einer der führenden holländischen Genremaler der 2. Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunders, der auch von britischen und amerikanischen Sammlern gefragt war. Werke befinden sich u. a. im Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam; eine vergleichbare Strandszene wurde 1889 auf der Münchner Jahresausstellung im Glaspalast vom Künstler für die Neue Pinakothek erworben. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
