Beauftragt von der Modezeitschrift "Vogue" fotografierte Bert Stern im Juni 1962 die berühmte Schauspielerin in einer dreitägigen Sitzung im Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles. Trotz des Titels und obwohl Monroe bereits sechs Wochen später verstarb, handelt es sich nicht um die tatsächlich letzten Aufnahmen der Popikone, aber mit insgesamt 2571 Bildern um eine der umfangreichsten. 1992 erschienen diese unter dem Titel "The Complete Last Sitting", im selben Jahr produzierte Stern mit Peter Reichelt und Ina Brockmann die Fotoausstellung "Marilyn Monroe - The Last Sitting", die weltweit gezeigt wurde, beginnend 1993 im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
