Part gold-plated. Boat-shaped above a short, straight. The rear side of the plastic Dolphin to support a flat, passige handle with hook, bekröntem double-headed eagle with the Moscow coat of arms. On the wall surface opaque, very finely engraved decoration of stylized leaf different fabulous vines, animals and birds. On the narrow side, attached, bekrönter double-headed eagle. Below the edge, in Cyrillic Ref. Toast (loosely translated: "A beautiful girlfriend (meaning the Kowsch) the celebration of friends"). On the ground, underside engraved name trains. Inside gold plated. Gest. 84, the manufacturer's mark. Wt. approx. 2200. g. h. 22 cm. 38 cm x 25 cm. (168199)
Pavel Akimov Ovchinnikow was purveyor to the court and was the first silverware in the old Russian style. Furthermore, his company was famous for everyday objects, worked in Cloisonné and Plique à jour technique. Until 1916, the existing company was taken over in 1888 by his sons.
