Familienbesitz aus dem Nachlass des Künstlers.

Aus dem direkten Familiennachlass Johann Friederich Tielkers können hier drei Papierarbeiten (Lot 1155/1157/1158) angeboten werden, die Einblick in das Leben eines weitegereisten Künstlers des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts geben.
Tielker hatte sich in den Jahren vor 1800 einen Namen als Maler und Stecher großer Stadtpanoramen gemacht, arbeitete unter anderem für den Berliner Hof und etablierte sich dort mit einer Kupferdruckerei. Nach Jahren im Baltikum und Russland, wo sein Panorama von St. Petersburg auf ein großes Echo traf, konnte er nach 1804 eine Gesandtschaft nach China begleiten - für die Zeit eine außergewöhnliche Reise, die sich in zwei der hier angebotenen Papierarbeiten widerspiegelt: die außergewöhnlich große Ansicht von Athen dürfte auf Eindrücke während dieser Reise zurückgehen, ebenso wie der Entwurf einer Wandausmalung mit Motiven aus China.
