Nissen, BBI (Nachtrag) 182. Stafleu/C. 575 (dat. irrig 1670). - Letzte Ausgabe dieses beliebten Kräuterbuches der Renaissance, das zuvor in zahlreich Ausgaben bei Rihel in Straßburg erschienen war. Mit den Holzschn. dieser Rihel-Ausgaben (C. Glaser war ein Enkel J. Rihels u. übernahm die Holzstöcke seines Großvaters). Der Anhang von 94 Seiten mit Bocks "Teutscher Speißkammer" einzeln erstmals 1550 erschienen. Ein typograph. Titel scheint für diese Ausgabe nicht existiert zu haben, wie ein Vergleich mit mehreren Beschreibungen von anderen Ex. zeigt. Ohne die w. Bl. (eines nach der Widmung u. eines am Schluß). Kupfertitel u. die beiden Bl. Widmung angerändert, ebenso die drei le. Registerbl. Kupfertitel verso mit drei alten Besitzvermehrt Durchgehend stark gebräunt u. etwas stockfleckig. Ränder wasserfleckig. Vereinzelt leicht wurmstichig. Auf S. 637 ein Holzschn. koloriert u. mit Marginalien v. alter Hand. Unter Verwendung des alten Einbandes neu aufgebunden, Rücken sauber restauriert. Vorsätze, Spiegel u. Bindebänder erneuert. - Last edition of this favoured Renaissance herbal, earlier editions published by Rihel (Glaser was Rihels grandchild and used his grandfathers woodblocks). There is probably no printed titlepage for this edition. With engraved title, woodcut portrait, woodcut coat of arms and about 550 woodcuts by or after David Kandel. Contemporary vellum (restored, spine, fly leaves and spine labels renewed). Heavy browning and some foxing throughout, waterstain in the margins, sporadic small wormholes. One woodcut (on page 637) coloured and with contemporary marginalia. Engraved title, dedication and three index sheets remargined. Missing the two blank sheets (after the dedication and at the end).

If the auction house accepts a request, it will participate in the auction. You can view the current status of a bid at any time in your personal account in the "Bids" section.
Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
