4to. Illustrated with 90 black and white gravure plates; occasional thumb-soiling. Original patterned paper boards, spine and upper cover lettered in red; corners lightly bumped. Original photographic dust jacket; some creasing, short closed tear to lower panel with tape repair to verso. Housed in a grey cloth clamshell case.

First edition, presentation copy, inscribed on the front free endpaper: "For Debra Patnaik with gratitude, Bill Brandt."

An important body of work from the famed British photographer: "These startling images rewrote the language of nude photography in not one, but several quarters ...
