AN ARCHAISTIC GOLD AND SILVER INLAID BRONZE 'HU' VESSEL WITH TWO MASK HANDLES - China, cast mark in archaic seal script to the base, 18th c. - Bulbous body decorated with two bands of stylized dragon scrolls in relief, separated by a narrow band of tendrils inlaid in silver. At the shoulder a pair of lion masks with moveable ring handles. The neck with further finely decorated leaf-shaped reserves and repeating ornaments in gold and silver inlays. All raised on a splayed foot. Surface polished and covered with dark brown to reddish brown-green patina, inside earth deposits and encrustations. - Collection Dr Rainer Kreissl (1924 - 2005) - South German private collection, assembled prior to 1990 - Partially minor wear, traces of age

Auf leicht ausgestelltem Fuß bauchiger Korpus mit weiter Mündung, dekoriert mit zwei breiten Bändern von gereihten stilisierten Drachen in Relief, durch einen schmalen Ranken-Musterband getrennt. An der Schulter zwei Löwen-Masken mit beweglichen Ringhenkeln. Am Hals weitere feine Dekoration mit blattförmigen Reserven und sich wiederholende Ornamente in Gold- und Silbereinlagen. Oberfläche poliert, mit dunkelbrauner bis rotbraun-grüner Patina, innen Erdablagerungen bzw. -Verkrustungen.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
