Getriebene Bronzeschale mit leicht verdicktem Rand und mit zentralem, profilierten Omphalos, der von kreisrundem Punktdekor und einem Strichband umgeben ist. Das äußere Punktband dient als Grundlinie für den eigentlichen Fries mit vier fein gearbeiteten Hirschen mit langen Ohren und prachtvollen Geweihen. Die Körper punktiert. Zwischen den Hirschen Bäume mit langen Ästen und großen Früchten. Unter dem Rand ein weiteres Schraffurband. Eindrucksvolles Gefäß aus einem aristokratischen Haushalt. Selten. Außen am Boden Korrosionsstellen und eine kleine, kaum sichtbare Restaurierung, sonst intakt. Durchmesser 19,7 cm.

A Phoenician bronze libation bowl, 8th - 6th century B.C.
Hammered bronze bowl with a slightly thickened rim and a central, bevelled omphalos, surrounded by circular point decorations and a linear border. The outer border of beads serves as the base line for the actual frieze, with four delicately worked stags with long ears and magnificent antlers. The bodies covered in dots. The stags stand between trees with long branches, bearing large fruits. Another band of cross-hatching below the rim. Impressive vessel from an aristocratic house. Rare. Spots of corrosion on the exterior of the base and a small, barely visible restoration, otherwise intact. Diameter 19.7 cm.
Provenance: Acquired in the Austrian art trade. Originally in a private US collection from the 1980s. Christie’s New York on 6 December 2007, lot no. 541. Subsequently in a private French collection.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
