Bronze mit schöner Alterspatina. Kräftig reliefierte Darstellung der thronenden Muttergottes, zu ihren Füßen die Mondsichel. Auf ihrem Schoß das Christuskind mit Weltkugel. Beidseitig flankiert von je drei geflügelten Putti, die beiden unteren ihren Mantel tragend, links darüber ein Putto mit ihren Haaren spielend. Rückseitig mehrere alte Sammlungsetiketten und Inventarnummern. Am oberen Rand zwei Montagelochungen. Maße 13,5 x 10 cm.
Seltene Augsburger Plakette, die weltweit nur in wenigen Exemplaren aus Bronze oder Blei erhalten geblieben ist. Ein identisches, feuervergoldetes Exemplar befindet sich in der Sammlung des Bode-Museums in Berlin (DSC03301).
Hans Schwarz (1492 - 1550): Medailleur und Bildhauer, tätig zunächst in Augsburg, später auch in Nürnberg, Paris, Polen und am dänischen Hof. Schuf viele bedeutende Portraitmedaillen zeitgenössischer Persönlichkeiten wie Kaiser Karl V., Jacob Fugger, Albrecht Dürer und Hans Burgkmair und gilt als einer der bedeutendsten deutschen Medailleure der Renaissance.

Bronze with a beautiful age patina. The depiction in high relief of the Virgin Mary on a throne, her feet resting on a crescent moon. The Infant Jesus with the globe on her lap. Flanked by three winged putti on each side, the two lower putti holding her cloak, a putto playing with her hair at the upper left. Several old collection labels and inventory numbers on the back. Two mounting perforations on the upper edge. Dimensions 13.5 x 10 cm.
A rare Augsburg plaque, of which just a few specimens in bronze or lead are known to have survived around the world. An identical, fire-gilt plaque can be found in the collection of the Bode Museum in Berlin (DSC03301).
The medallist and sculptor Hans Schwarz (1492 - 1550) was first active in Augsburg, later also in Nuremberg, Paris, Poland and at the Danish court. He created a great many distinguished portrait medals of contemporary personages, such as Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, Jacob Fugger, Albrecht Dürer and Hans Burgkmair, and is regarded as one of the most important German medallists of the Renaissance.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
