Stilisierte Figur eines Stieres mit langgestrecktem Maul und großem, weit ausladendem Gehörn. Augen und Ohren markant stilisiert. Der Hals und der Körper relativ schmal und "gratig". Am Hals unterhalb der Ohren ein "Halsband". An den Enden der dünnen Beine die Klauen der Hufe ausgearbeitet, Der Körper unten offen und hohl, das Genital in diesem Hohlraum modeliert. Der Schwanz auf kurzer Stecke senkrecht abstehend und dann im rechten Winkel abknickend, zum Ende hin tordiert. Ausgesprochen eigenwillig stilisierte aber sehr ausdrucksstarke Tierplastik der frühen Eisenzeit. Länge ca. 14,5 cm. Höhe 14,2 cm. Dazu ein passgenauer Plexiglassockel.
Äußerst selten, zumal in dieser Vollständigkeit.
A Sardinian bronze votive of a bull, 8th - 7th century B.C.
Stylised figure of a bull with elongated jaws and large, sweeping horns. Distinctively stylised eyes and ears. The neck and body comparatively slender and "burred". A "collar" around the neck below the ears. The thin legs terminating in elaborately crafted claws, the body open and hollow on the underside, the genital modelled within this cavity. The proximal part of the tail raised and then bent at a right angle, twisted towards the end. Very unique, stylised but very expressive animal sculpture dating from the early Iron Age. Length approx. 14.5 cm. Height 14.2 cm. With a custom acrylic glass base.
Extremely rare, especially in this completeness.
