Nr. 77. - Otto Brunfels muß als erster unter den 'Vätern der Botanik' genannt werden, sein berühmtes Kräuterbuch ... war ein von wissenschaftlichem Ernst getragenes, rein botanisches Werk. Der Zeichner Hans Weiditz schuf nicht nur künstlerisch überragend schöne Abbildungen; der fast übersteigerte Naturalismus stellte zu dieser Zeit ein absolutes Novum dar.. (Heilmann, S. 184). ihm (Weiditz) verdankt die Botanik eine der unvergänglichen Leistungen, die in ihrer Vollkommenheit seither allen ernsthaft Strebenden immer wieder als Vorbild und Ansporn vor Augen gestanden hat.. (Nissen I, S. 39). - Der 3. Teil erschien erst 1536. Band 1 vollständig, Band 2 mit dem ersten Teil bis S. (14, S. 11/12 doppelt gezählt), der 2. Teil des 2. Bandes beginnt mit S. 13, S. 197/198 doppelt gezählt. - Tls. etw. gebräunt u. fleckig, am Anfang am Vorderschnitt wasserrandig, am Schluß am unt. Eck mit Feuchtigkeitsfleck. - Part. 1 u. 2 (fragment, of 3) in 1 vol. With 2 col. woodcut title borders, 4 col. woodcut borders in the text, 1 full-page col. woodcut. coat-of-arms woodcut, 1 col. printer's mark a. 90 (instead of 135) partly full-page coloured woodcuts. woodcuts in text by Hans Weiditz. 4 not num. pp, 266 pp., 33 not num. pp.; 1 pp., 12 pp. (recte 14, of 90 p.), pp. 13-199 (recte 201), 5 not num. p., 1 white sheet. pp. 18th century marbled leather with gilt crowned monogram on front cover (JGC) and gilt coat-of-arms supralibros on rear cover. (Signs of wear, some damage, rear cover with some worming). - The 3rd part appeared only in 1536. vol. 1 complete, vol. 2 with the first part up to p. (14, p. 11/12 counted twice), the 2nd part of the 2nd volume begins with p. 13, p. 197/198 counted twice. - Somewhat browned and spotted in places, waterstained at the beginning of the front cut, with a moisture stain at the lower corner at the end.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. After confirming your email address, enter your personal information in your user profile, such as your first name, last name, and mail address. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. If the auction house accepts a request, it will participate in the auction. You can view the current status of a bid at any time in your personal account in the "Bids" section.
Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
