Über einem reichen, mit goldstaffierten Volutenfüßen gestalteten, rechteckigem Sockel die unbemalte, fast lebensgroße Büste des Grafen Sigmund von Haimhausen (1708-1793). Um den Hals trägt er das rotmoiréefarbene Schleifenband mit Kerykeion (Heroldstab) im ovalen, vergoldetem Medaillon. Seine üppigen Locken werden im Nacken von einer schwarzen Schleife zusammengehalten. Es handelt sich bei der Büste um eine Neuausformung des Originals aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, das um 1763 von Bustelli begonnen und nach dessen Tod von Auliczek mit dem hinzugefügten Sockel vollendet wurde. Das Original gleicher Größe befindet sich in der Sammlung des Bayerischen Nationalmuseums in München, wohin es durch Überweisung der Königlichen Generaldirektion der Berg-, Hütten- und Salzwerke, München, 1908, gelangte (Inv.Nr.Ker 4369, Saal 95, Online aufgeführt unter https://www.bayerisches nationalmuseum.de/sammlung/ highlights/00014979). Alfred Ziffer (Nymphenburger Porzellan 1997) nennt zwei nur bekannte, also äußerst seltene Neuausformungen von 1910. Eine befindet sich im Porzellanmuseum Schloss Nymphenburg, auch "Sammlung Bäuml" genannt (Inv.Nr.PM:RS 47), die zweite Ausführung gibt Ziffer mit der Provenienz "Familienbesitz" an.

Bemalt wurde die Büste von Gustav Unger, der von 1893 bis 1945 als Blumen- und Figurenmaler in der Manufaktur tätig war. Die Porzellanbüste zeigt ein einfühlsames Porträt des Grafen Sigmund von Haimhausen (1708-1793), dem Gründungspräsidenten der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Obermünzmeister, Oberbergdirektor und Direktor der Nymphenburger Manufaktur. Nachdem Kurfürst Max III. Joseph das erfolglose Unternehmen aufgegeben hatte, investierte Haimhausen eine beträchtliche Geldsumme aus seinem Privatvermögen und konnte somit die Produktion der Manufaktur ab 1754 enorm voranbringen. Er stellte auch den genialen Modelleur Bustelli ein, der mit der Büste seines Förderers ein wahres Meisterwerk schuf.
