Dreiviertelfigur leicht nach links, hinter einem Tisch stehend. Er spielt einen Zink, unter dem linken Arm hält er eine Flöte, vor ihm - auf dem Tisch - eine Posaune und ein Notenheft. Öl auf Lwd. 124 x 89 cm (im Oval) cm. Doubliert. Rest. Rahmen min. besch. (146,5 x 112 cm). Beeindruckende Darstellung eines adretten jungen Musikanten, nach der neusten Mode gekleidet, mit federgeschmücktem Barett. Dieser spielt mit Hingabe den Zink. Dieses leicht gebogene Holzrohr mit Grifflöchern wie eine Blockflöte zählte vom 15. bis ins 17. Jahrhundert zu den beliebtesten Blasinstrumenten. Die Vorliebe für den Zink verdankt sich seinem einzigartigen Klang, dem man nachsagte, dass er der menschlichen Stimme so nahe komme wie der keines anderen Instruments. Künstlerisch ist das vorliegende Werk ein eindrückliches Dokument des Caravaggismus, der seine Blütezeit in der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts erlebte. Begeistert orientierten sich die Künstler verschiedener Länder an der neuartigen Helldunkelmalerei Caravaggios und der dramatischen Wirkung seiner Gemälde.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
