Sommer, auf dem Keilrahmen auf Etikett betitelt 'Lake Champlain U.S.A.' sowie 'Beginnender Sturm', min. besch. - Provenienz: Hermann und Emilie Mündler haben das Gemälde 1880 bei der Verlosung des Kunstvereins Frankenthal gewonnen; zuletzt Privatsammlung Hamburg. - Deutscher Landschaftsmaler. Über das Leben des Künstlers ist wenig bekannt. 1865 malte er eine Ansicht von Wandsbek. Zwischen 1867 und 1872 hatte er ein Atelier am Broadway in New York und schuf in dieser Zeit Landschaften aus den Adirondacks und Catskills, die er in der National Academy of Design ausstellte. Zurück in Deutschland ließ er sich in Altona nieder; der Kunstverein von Hamburg kaufte 1876 eine Ansicht von Holstein. Lit.: Thieme-Becker, Der Neue Rump u.a.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
