Post-impressionism-painted tables, in bright pastel-toned colour, surface composed landscape. This reflects Hartig's genetic switch is engagement with Modern currents in art, not least of all Ferdinand Hodler, created around 1900, a series of comparable landscapes with views of Swiss lakes.
