Rectangular black lacquer case decorated in the Chinese taste inlaid with various hardstones, coral and mother-of-pearls representing a naturalistic scene, clasp and hinges of cartouche design applied with engraved mother-of-pearl, braided rope handles to the sides, red leather-lined interior with fitted trays containing coloured mother-of-pearl gaming chips, playing cards, four silver pencils and bridge scoring pads, silver (French marks), circa 1925, Cartier, maker's marks (Maurice Couët), numbered
