Réunion canonique des quatre grands auteurs de l'Antiquité sur l'agriculture et la vie rurale. Séduisant exemplaire relié aux armes du comte d'Hoym.
Seconde édition aldine. Imprimée en caractères italiques, elle inaugure la relance de l'officine vénitienne sous la direction du jeune Paul Manuce (1512-1574), après une interruption des travaux pendant quatre ans. Le fils d'Alde l'Ancien suit le texte donné par son père en 1514, avec la même préface, mais avec des corrections tirées de l'édition des Giunti (1521). Le traité de Columelle est illustré de 16 figures dans le texte.
Ce bel exemplaire, très propre, provient de la bibliothèque de Charles-Jérôme de Cisternay du Fay. Il fut ensuite acquis par le comte d'Hoym qui fit apposer ses armes sur la reliure, dont le dos est orné à la grotesque, indice supplémentaire de la provenance Du Fay. Figure éminente et fastueuse de la bibliophilie au XVIIIe siècle, Charles-Henri, comte d'Hoym, constitua l'essentiel de sa bibliothèque à Paris de 1720 à 1729, durant sa mission alors qu'il était ministre plénipotentiaire d'Auguste II, électeur de Saxe et roi de Pologne. Les 5 000 ouvrages installés en son hôtel de la rue Cassette furent dispersés aux enchères à Paris. In-8 (204 x 130 mm). Reliure du début du XVIIIe siècle : vélin ivoire, armes dorées sur les plats, dos lisse orné à la grotesque, pièce de titre en maroquin rouge, tranches bleues.

Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
