Précieux exemplaire de tête sur Japon impérial, avec les 28 gouaches originales de l’illustrateur, une suite en noir et les tirages couleurs sur papier teinté, reliépar la relieuse parisienne Esther Founès. Mahé, I, col. 462-463.
In-4 (309 x 237 mm). 69 compositions originales de Lorenzi, dont : 28 aquarelles reproduites hors-texte, 11 têtes de chapitre, 11 culs-de-lampe et 19 lettrines. Un des 20 exemplaires de tête sur Japon impérial (n°2) ; Comme requis à la justification, il comprend une suite en noir sur papier pur fil teinté satiné des 28 grandes compositions ; le tirage couleurs de ces 28 compositions a été réalisé sur couché « Perfection » marges teintées chamois et vert. En lieu et place de l’aquarelle originale de Lorenzi requise à la justification, l’exemplaire comprend les 28 gouaches originales signées de l’illustrateur. Pour celle de la couverture, la gouache originale comprend le portrait et le titre. Les gouaches sont montées. Les trois états des 28 illustrations sont reliés à la suite les uns des autres.
Reliure signée d’Esther Founès (relieuse parisienne, active entre 1920 et 1939 environ) en maroquin vert avec riche décor d’arabesques et d’encadrements mosaïqués en maroquin ébène, rouge et orange, souligné de filets et de petits fers dorés, dos à nerfs orné d’un décor similaire, doublure et garde de soie pourpre et dorée avec décor de dragons chinois et de nuages, encadrement du même maroquin au décor évoquant celui des plats, tranches dorées sur témoins, étui (dos passé). Couverture et dos conservés. Provenance : sur le faux-titre, envoi autographe signé : « à Sa Grâce Arlette Dorgère, souvenir de son locataire et ami. Félicien Champsaur ». Arlette Dorgère (1880-1965) était comédienne, danseuse et chanteuse.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. After confirming your email address, enter your personal information in your user profile, such as your first name, last name, and mail address. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. If the auction house accepts a request, it will participate in the auction. You can view the current status of a bid at any time in your personal account in the "Bids" section.
Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
