Mythologische Szene mit Diana und Endymion
Szenische Darstellung der Jagdgöttin Diana, die sich in den Hirten Endymion verliebte und ihn durch Zeus in den ewigen Schlaf versetzen ließ, nur um jede Nacht die Schönheit des Jünglings bewundern zu können. Coypel stammt aus einer bedeutenden, äußerst erfolgreichen und einflussreichen Historienmalerfamilie. Sein Vater Antoine Coypel, erhielt zahlreiche Aufträge von der Königsfamilie, insbesondere von Philippe II., Herzog von Orléans, außerdem wurde er 1714 Direktor der Académie Royale und 1715 Premier Peintre du Roi. Coypel lebte fast sein ganzes Leben im Louvre-Palast, er hatte mindestens fünfzehn Räume unter der Grande Galerie als 3000 qm Atelierfläche. Auch Charles Antoine war hochtalentiert, sodass er 1715 am selben Tag von der Académie zum Agréé und anschließend zum Académicien ernannt wurde. 1772 trat er die Nachfolge seines Vaters als Premier peintre du Roi am Hof König Ludwig XV. an, 1747 ernannte man ihn zum Direktor der Académie. Coypel führte eine Reihe von Gemälde-Aufträgen für Schloss Versailles, Ludwig XV. und die Königin aus. Überdies schuf er zahlreiche Wandteppichentwürfe für die königliche Gobelin-Manufaktur. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
