Bronze-Hohlguss, schauseitig beschriftet "NAPOLÉON" über ovalem Monogramm, links unten signiert "Chaudet. f.". Überlebensgroße, vollplastische Figur von Kaiser Napoleon I. im Stil eines antiken Imperators. Realistisches, fein gestaltetes Gesicht. Vierkantiger Sockel mit der Grundfläche 28 x 27 cm. Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Gesamthöhe 60 cm. Schöne Qualität.
Die Figur galt als offizielles Portrait und fand großen Anklang unter den Zeitgenossen. Sehr ausdrucksstark und repräsentativ.

Hollow cast bronze, the front inscribed "NAPOLÉON" above an oval monogram, signed "Chaudet. f." at the bottom left. Larger-than-life, fully sculpted figure of Napoleon I in the style of an ancient emperor. Realistic, finely designed features. Square pedestal measuring 28 x 27 cm. Signs of age and handling. Total height 60 cm. Of superior quality.
The bust was considered an official portrait and was well received among contemporaries. Highly expressive and imposing.
