Auf den ersten Blick erscheint die figurative Malerei Christian Brandls, einem Protagonisten der Neuen Leipziger Schule, etwas brav. Bei näherer Betrachtung wird jedoch eine leichte Spannung spürbar, eine untergründige Beunruhigung - vergleichbar Film-Stills aus Hitchcock-Klassikern. Für Spannung sorgen Brüche, die in den Bildern angelegt sind. Die Figuren Brandls lachen nie, sind häufig angespannt, stehen unter innerem Zwang. Meist schauen sie weg, ins Leere, am Betrachter vorbei. Sie sind allein, isoliert. Es sind Zustandsbilder der Entfremdung, die Christian Brandl malt und zeichnet.Die Sprache der Bilder Christian Brandls ist leise, aber unerbittlich. Mit den Stilmitteln von "Stills" zwingt er den Betrachter, das "Davor" und das "Danach" zu denken und macht die Zeit der Menschen zum eigentlichen Thema. Die Botschaft des Künstlers: Wir sind dabei, unsere Zeit mit Oberflächlichem zu vergeuden. Brandl führt den Betrachter seiner Bilder in öffentliche Räume, die stets zu identifizieren sind: Garten, Gebirge, Meer. Aus collagenhaft zusammengesetzten Farbflächen lässt er kulissenhafte, bühnenartige Räume entstehen, in denen Figuren und Landschaft zu Komponenten eines eigentümlichen "Stilllebens" werden. Die Situationen, in denen die Figuren häufig alleine auftreten, sind meist weniger eindeutig. Zu sehen sind flüchtige, zufällige Begegnungen, Gesten. Angeschnittene Figuren, Naturelemente und Möbelstücke unterstreichen den Eindruck des Momenthaften und assoziieren Nähe zu fotografischen Schnappschüssen so wie sie mit der zweiäugigen Kleinildkamera aus den 1960er Jahre gemacht sein könnten, die die Frau auf vorliegendem Werk als Requisit in den Händen hält.Mit wenigen Ausnahmen kann man Brandls Werke weder zeitlich noch lokal verorten. Seine Protagonisten lässt er allerdings in Modeklassikern der 1960er Jahre auftreten: Seine Damen im Kostüm oder Etuikleid wirken zeitlos, so wie Bilder der Kennedys, von Cary Grant oder Tippi Hedren. Auch in unserem Werk finden sich Assoziationen zu Mode und Geschmack der Sixties. Kleidung, Hut. Frisur, Kamera- das wirkt zeitlos klassisch, aber auch etwas aus der Zeit gefallen. Bei aller Ruhe und Klarheit, die Brandls Bilder ausstrahlen: Die Unruhe der abgebildeten Figuren ergreift den Betrachter. Was ist hier wohl passiert? Und genau dieser Frage nachzugehen, macht den Reiz und die Besonderheit der Bilder Christian Brandls aus.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
