Philippe.', Gießerstempel 'RM' der Bildgießerei Rosenthal & Maeder, Berlin, dunkelgrau geäderter Marmorsockel, Höhe 2 cm. Geringfügig ber. Französischer Maler und Bildhauer, Studium der Bildhauerei an der Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris unter Antonin Larroux, stellte im Pariser Salon aus. Philippe zählt zu den bedeutenden Bildhauern des Art Déco und fertigte vor allem Arbeiten in Bronze und Elfenbein sowie aus beiden Materialien kombiniert Chryselephantine-Figuren von exotischen und russischen Tänzerinnen.
