Platin 950/-, getestet. 2 Brillanten, zusammen ca. 0,55 ct., 16 Diamanten im Baguetteschliff, zusammen ca. 2,50 ct., W-TCR (H-I-J), VVS-VS1-2. 1 ovaler facettierter Amethyst im Ceylonschliff, ca. 46,03 ct. (errechnetes Gewicht), feine "siberian" Farbqualität. Ringgröße: 55. Ca. 23,4 g. Goldschmiedetechnische Ausführung: der Amethyst wurde in eine erhabene Zargengriff Fassung eingesetzt. Im Entourage Stil sind die Diamanten terrassenförmig angeordnet. Historisch gesehen war der Amethyst so wertvoll wie ein Diamant, Rubin, Smaragd und Saphir, bis im 19. Jahrhundert große Vorkommen in Brasilien entdeckt wurden. In früheren Zeiten galt Lila als königliche Farbe und da die Gewinnung sehr schwierig und teuer war, konnten es sich nur sehr Wohlhabende oder Könige leisten. In den sibirischen Minen in Russland wurden die besten Amethyste der Welt abgebaut, die eine satte violette Farbe aufwiesen. Heute bezieht sich der Begriff "sibirisch" nicht mehr auf den Ursprung, da die sibirischen Minen erschöpft sind. Stattdessen bezieht sich es sich auf einen Handelsnamen für Amethyste, der den in Sibirien abgebauten ähnlich ist. BK
